There are other articles listing DLsite sale dates, but most stop at a schedule and “up to 90% OFF.” This guide is for people who buy ASMR and voice works on DLsite — it covers category-specific discount data, how bundle pricing actually works, and when it makes sense to buy now versus wait.

ASMR & Voice Work Discount Trends
Analysis from DLwatcher, a site that tracks DLsite pricing history, shows that sale participation varies significantly by category.
ASMR & voice works:
- Highest sale participation rate of any category on DLsite
- Within 5 years of release, over 90% of works go on sale at least once
- In the male-oriented R18 floor, over 20% of works see an 80% OFF discount within 5 years
Manga & illustration:
- Low sale participation
- If a work hasn’t gone on sale within 6 months, it likely won’t even after 5 years
Games:
- Reluctant to discount — roughly 30% of games have never been on sale even 5 years after release
For ASMR and voice works specifically, “wait and it’ll go on sale eventually” holds true at a surprisingly high rate.

Buy Now or Wait
Three situations where buying now may be better than waiting for a sale:
1. There’s a limited-time bonus
Some works include bonus tracks or exclusive illustrations only for early buyers. These can’t be obtained later.
2. The circle has never held a sale
Circles (creators) have very different attitudes toward discounts. Some frequently offer 30–60% OFF, others never discount. DLsite’s work pages don’t show price history, but you can check individual works on DLwatcher.com (Japanese-language site).
3. It’s a new release right after a major sale ended
Works released just after the Summer or Winter Sale ends face a months-long wait until the next major event. Launch discounts are typically 0–30%, which is less than the 30–60% during major sales, but waiting nearly half a year may not be worth it. Using a coupon to buy now can be the more practical choice.
On the other hand, if a work drops 2–3 weeks before a major sale, it’s worth waiting. It will often be added to the sale at launch.
Coupons
DLsite distributes coupons frequently, even outside of sale periods.

The 25% tutorial coupon is the largest non-sale discount available. If you haven’t earned it yet, it’s worth prioritizing.

Using Coupons During Sales
During the 2024–2025 Summer Sale, DLsite distributed a 15% OFF coupon usable multiple times throughout the sale period, on top of the sale discounts themselves.
However, not all coupons work on sale items. Eligibility changes each time. The safest approach is to add works to your cart and check whether the coupon applies before paying.
How Bundle Deals Are Calculated
Periodically, DLsite runs bundle campaigns like “60% OFF when you buy 3 or more.” During the 2025 Summer Sale, over 160,000 works were eligible.
There’s a catch: the 60% OFF applies to the original list price.
Example — a work listed at ¥1,000 with an individual 20% OFF sale:
- Normal purchase: ¥1,000 × 80% = ¥800
- Bundle purchase: ¥1,000 × 40% = ¥400
The individual 20% OFF and the bundle 60% OFF don’t stack. The system applies whichever discount rate is higher against the list price. “Sale 30% OFF × Bundle 60% OFF = effective 90% OFF” does not happen.
That said, three ¥1,000 voice works purchased in a bundle would cost ¥1,200 total instead of ¥3,000 list price. Compared to buying them with a regular 15% coupon (¥2,550), that’s ¥1,350 saved. Bundle campaigns are worth using when they come around.

Why the Anniversary Festival Is Often the Best Deal
The discount rates aren’t necessarily higher than the Summer or Winter Sale, but the Anniversary Festival tends to be the best overall value because multiple promotions overlap.
In 2025, user voting took place in October, and results were announced on November 22 alongside the sale launch. Coupons were also distributed during the sale period.
The voting → results → sale flow means popular and talked-about works are more likely to be included. The sale period is only about a week, but it’s dense.
Note: Review Point Rewards Have Been Abolished
DLsite previously offered a ~10% point refund for writing reviews. This was discontinued on October 6, 2025. Some older guides still mention it.
